Hi - I just want to thank you for the article - note your courage in progress as a human in politics and life - and mostly compliment your ability to express so eloquently what many of us feel and observe. May your pen always be sharp!

Welcome back ... it's great to see you again, and still kicking. I was cancelled, too, which nowadays is a badge of honor. Stay sharp, and stay safe.

Thank you for sharing. I didn’t know you pre-Substack, but this article has me looking forward to more! I’m new to Substack too. Grateful for other avenues of connecting and sharing information outside the big 3 socials.

Censored, eh ?

Well, welcome to the club.

I dared to post several favorable comments about RFK Jr.'s book: "The Real Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the War Against Public Health and Democlracy" on the "Civis" newsgroup of ArsTechnica. The email informing me that I was permanently banned from that group specifically mentioned my comments in praise of that book and admonished me to "read better books".

With the emergence of the substack system, we now have a powerful alternative to the mostly captured social media. It will continue to grow while many people will use FB and Twitter less.

It is interesting to note that I am shadow banned on both. In the case of Twitter, however, an enticing offer to "upgrade" my membership and get a "wider audience" often appears, including a recent one which offers a 40% discount. Sorry Mr. Musk. I am pleased that you have opened up Twitter to views and people formerly banned, but I will NOT pay to avoid shadowbanning. You will need a better biz model than that.

I know I'm a little late writing this, but I've been a longtime fan of yours Carey, and I wanna tell you how I miss Antimedia, so I'm grateful I found you on Substack!

I too have noticed that there's been a coordinated effort by tptb since 2018 to snuff out nearly all nonpartisan news outlets on social media. It's most apparent on YouTube judging from my experiences. To this day, I get nothing but corporate media in my feeds, or political commentators shilling for one side or the other. Almost like tptb WANT us all separated.

Happy you are back. I too am sort of back. I've been avoiding all this media and news. I've been focused on my own goals and purpose, but I've decided that "waking everyone up" is not the way to go.

Instead, I'm interested "helping those already helping themselves."

We need to support those who are making an effort to do good. Waking people up takes back seat to that. Also, our success, over time, is a powerful means of waking people up to their own potential.

I love your videos, your tone, your energy.

Here are a few things that have helped me over the past years that I think you might appreciate. These are those sort of realizations I've had that, when practices, release a lot of stress and inner turmoil. They bring me a lot more peace, energy, and focus.

1. Nothing is more important than your inner peace. You are a person too. Selflessness is not morality. You have to treat yourself right first.

2. If you judge others you will judge yourself. I am naturally very critical so this is a big one for me. When you catch yourself criticizing, condemning, or judging another person, a simple practice of saying "judging" in your mind to stop yourself is helpful. Judging others is actually huge source of stress and depression because we judge ourselves so much more harshly. We should judge ideas, beliefs, behaviors as good or bad, but not people.

3. Do not abide by fear. It's OK to feel it, but not OK to let it control your behavior. When you're afraid, that is an excellent time to act. The more you do this, the more you discover your own power.
