They're all equal in their hatred of us. They just like using their supporters to keep themselves in power. It's all they care about at the end of the day.
Another awesome essay that strikes to the root - the myth of political authority. Keep it up Carey! And please, let me know if you do interviews. I'd like to showcase your work on my podcast.
The truth of political authority is this - Nobody in government is coming to save you. The more that people start waking up to this realization, the better off we'll be.
Very well said. In 2008 I was driving people to the polls to vote for Obama. Before 2009 ended I knew I had been completely bamboozled. I should have listened to the tankies. Those Stalinists at this now defunct website called The Bell saw right through him early on.
Now, a lot of well-intentioned people who voted for Trump because they hoped he would end the proxy war with Russia and take on the Deep State have been completely betrayed, and I know they feel every bit as badly as I did 14 years ago.
We need a broad-based political movement to force any positive changes from our ruling class. Now's the time to for those of us on the actual left to show some empathy. Many of us have been there, so gloating is petty and hypocritical.
The MAGA faithful - and much of America: “We want an end - to the Endless wars for Global Monopolar Hegemonic Empire - and appropriate punishment, for the Intelligence sector's sexual blackmail rings, that use minors as their bait ...”
Trump: "So you want an Army of Jack-Booted, militarized Federal Police, implementing a Technocratic Totalitarian Police STATE, erasing the rights guaranteed in the Constitution??? Okay...I can't say no to you guys ...
Oh... And Epstein was sex trafficking minors - but there's no way to figure out who was receiving them. Oh well. You can't win 'em all... And he hung himself with a paper T-shirt. Case closed."
There is one political person we can trust. Ten (10) years on our city council. $15. an hour passed in first city in the US - Seattle. Kshama Sawant is running against warmonger, Adam Smith (D-WA).

Amid the disillusionment around Obama, it’s easy to lose track of the key lesson from his campaign: it is possible to run on hope and win. Indeed, given that his key message was “yes we can introduce socialised medicine to America”, it was a clear lesson that it is possible to run on leftist ideas and win.
Which of course the neoliberals didn’t miss: this is why they had to ensure that that message got buried by an avalanche of failure and betrayal.
So how much longer are we going to lie to ourselves?
Voting works.. Voting brings in responsible government. Voting works, and is the will of the people..
If you still believe that,in light of what has occurred in the last 50 years, then all I can say is you probably voted for your very own (brain dead)..
Trump should be seen as a cautionary tale reminding us we should never put all of our trust in one person, should never put all of our eggs in one basket. Meanwhile FB continues to censor Anti-Globalist Speech.

Freedom of speech was not common before the American Revolution and the establishment of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Had it not been for Thomas Paine -- and his essay "Common Sense" -- we may have never declared our independence from Great Britain. A free marketplace of ideas is essential to making wise choices as both an individual and as a nation. And it was the suppression of free speech which led to the Covid mRNA shot that killed 17 million world wide. Those of us that tried to warn our fellow citizens were censored and suppressed by our government and Tech Platforms like Facebook and Youtube. We must fight to insure that never happens again.

Facebooks new censorship tactics a major setback to the growing Anti-Globalist movement
The art of being a politician, is to convince other people that you agree with their thinking – when in reality, the politician doesn’t care at all about others’ concerns.
The same goes for “organizers.” They’re literally there to trick people into following them for (whatever) cause.
Obama was great at tricking people into believing that he thought as they did, and cared about the issues that they cared about. But it was all for show.
I wrote about this exact thing just a little while back.
We're not far from seeing which ones will finally see through his cons and which ones suffer from TWS (Trump Worship Syndrome). I can only hope that my Trump-can-do-no-wrong friends fall into the former camp, but sometimes, I wonder....
It doesn't matter which psychopath you follow or support, right, left, red or blue. They all don't give a crap about us, and you.
They're all equal in their hatred of us. They just like using their supporters to keep themselves in power. It's all they care about at the end of the day.
I don’t want them to “care” about us. Most people don’t care. I want them to do their fucking jobs. Which they almost never do. And they work for Us!
I think this analysis has a lot of merit to it.

Well written, as always
I can't believe the octogenarian 1980s NYC liberal Democrat hasn't been the arbitrator of a shake up of the political system.
